Three bridge or culvert projects in Greene County get state funding

Liz Montgomery reports for Porcupine Soup that New York taxpayers are paying $3.8 million to three Greene County bridge or culvert projects in Durham, Hunter, and Halcott. Taxpayers are spending $1.134 million for the replacement of the Platte Clove Road bridge over Plattekill Creek, $1.242 million for the replacement of the Sunside Road bridge over Bowery Creek, and $1.5 million for replacement of the Route 3 culvert carrying the tributary to Brownell Creek. New York State Department of Transportation Commissioner Marie Therese Dominguez admits that "New York’s infrastructure, especially at the local level, is among the oldest in the country."
