Coxsackie prison CO arrested on rape, burglary

The Daily Mail leads with a report this morning that about a recently-hired Greene Correctional Facility officer being charged with the rape and robbery of a Buffalo-area woman last week. According to the story, Buffalo authorities say Christian M. Ott, 27 and a native of North Tonawanda awho was hired as a corrections officer trainee at Greene Correctional Facility in Coxsackie last July, allegedly raped and robbed a woman after burglarizing her North Tonawanda apartment early Thursday morning. He was arrested hours after the incident near his home on First Avenue in North Tonawanda, according to the Niagara County district attorney’s office and has been charged with numerous felony and misdemeanor charges related to the incident. Ott was in possession of a knife and shotgun at the time of the arrest, officials said. He was sent a letter Friday from DOCS, terminating his employment effective Dec. 17, and is currently facing up to 25 years in prison. For the full story click here.
