Renowned singer songwriter and activist Si Kahn speaks about growing up Jewish and his upbringing in the culture of activism. He sings some of his songs reflecting these memories. Si Kahn is a veteran of SNCC and was the founder and executive director of Grassroots Leadership, a southern-based national organization that works to abolish all for-profit private prisons, jails and detention centers, as a step towards helping create a prison and criminal justice system that is truly just and humane.
