Columbia-Greene opens student veterans center

Kyle Adams is reporting in The Daily Mail Columbia-Greene Community College marked Veterans Day Mon., Nov. 11, with the opening of its new “Battle Buddy Center,” a room designed to meet the needs of student veterans. The room is intended to be a "safe haven' for veterans to socialize and receive needed services. It includes a lounge with a television, a computer workstation, a coffee center, and a resource library and information about career and community resources. The creation of the center was funded by a $10,000 grant from the New York State Industries for the Disabled with support from Coarc and Ulster-Greene ARC. Approximately 35 veterans currently attend classes at Columbia-Greene. Read the full story in The Daily Mail.
