Participants are taught to make a leather journal from scratch in this introduction to bookbinding. Everything from tools and materials traditionally used in bookbinding, demystify grain direction and kettle stitches, as well as the many applications for awls and bone folders. The workshop will be kicked off by practicing basic book structures, so attendees will have a couple of pocket-sized notebooks to take home, too.
