Number of COVID-19 deaths locally keep increasing

Death from COVID-19 in the Capital Region has returned in a big way. The Times Union reports that coronavirus deaths more than doubled in November to 49, from 20 in October and six in September. There was another death announced in Columbia County Nov. 30, a resident of the Ghent Assisted Living facility. That was the 46th Columbia County resident to die from coronavirus. There have also been 22 residents of Greene County who have died from COVID-19, 58 in Rensselaer County, and 158 in Albany County. Ulster County officials announced two more deaths Nov. 30, bringing the county total to 101. Dutchess County officials on Nov. 30 reported three more deaths, for a total of 190.
