The Times Union is reporting actress and activist Cynthia Nixon announced on March 19, she will challenge Gov. Andrew Cuomo in a primary for the Democratic nomination for governor. A native New Yorker, Nixon is best known for her role on HBO's "Sex & The City." She made the announcement with a video entitled simply, "Cynthia Nixon for Governor" on Twitter and YouTube.
