Teen suspects arrested for school firebombing

The Daily Mail reports that police arrested two 13-year-old students Thur., Dec. 29, and charged them with juvenile deliquency for allegedly attempting to set fire to parts of the Coxsackie-Athens High School. The two suspects allegedly threw two Molotov Cocktails at the rear of the gym "section" of the school. The firebombs ignited on the driveway and in front of the rear doors. Authorities also discovered a flammable liquid had been lit along the school’s track. Police also discovered a burglary to the concession building, a damaged school vehicle and graffiti on several buildings. State police said that if the subjects were to be charged as adults, they would be facing first degree attempted arson, third degree burglary, third degree criminal mischief and making graffiti. Both minors were released to their parents and are scheduled to appear in Greene County Family Court at a date not yet specified. Read the story in The Daily Mail.
