The WGXC Morning Show is a radio magazine show featuring local news, interviews with community leaders and personalities, a rundown of public meetings, local and regional events, with weather updates, and more about and for the community. Includes "Mr. Peetie Pete's Picks": healthy music, no fillers, and a hootenanny of a good time. In the 10 a.m. hour, we'll be joined in our satellite studio by author David Balog, of Schenectady, NY. As a long-time editor at the Dana Foundation, Balog created, wrote and edited The Dana Source Book of Brain Science, through four editions, working with leading brain scientists and doctors, including Nobel Laureates. He will talk about his book, Healing the Brain: Stress, Trauma and Development, in which he takes a subject fraught with difficulty and makes it simple and accessible to everyone. Broadcast live from the Carnegie Room of the Catskill Library. Hosted by Pete Lievense.
