Sports gambling could begin in May

Mar 21, 2019 12:45 am
David Lombardo reports in the Albany Times Union that sports gambling could begin in New York at the end of May at four upstate commercial casinos. The 60-day public comment period for a very-limited legalization of sports gambling rules in New York began March 20. Some Senate Democrats wanted to allow sports wagering online, but "that language isn’t expected to be included in a final budget deal," according to the Lombardo. Public comments about gambling can be sent to gamingrules@gaming.ny.gov. Read the full story in the Albany Times Union.
