Usher has been a fixture on the New York music scene since the early 80s, when his powerpop band, The Decoys, were mainstays of the CBGB and Village clubs. Usher formed House Of Usher and The George Usher Group, releasing nine albums (including two collaborations with fellow New York songwriter, Edward Rogers) between 1990 and 2009.
