Columbia Memorial rating improves

Bethany Bump reports in the Albany Times Union that the rating from the U.S. Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services for Columbia Memorial Hospital increased this year. In 2017, the group gave the Hudson hospital just one star. Now, though, the rating has increased to two out of a possible four stars. Albany Medical Center, which received just one star, was critical of the assessments. "Any meaningful comparison of hospitals should be done between hospitals that provide similar types of care to similar types of patients," the hospital said in a statement.
