The Daily Freeman is reporting employment in the Hudson Valley and Catskill regions grew by 1.4 percent in the 12 months ending in July. Greene County experienced the largest jobs gain at 1.9 percent. Columbia County saw an employment gain of 0.6 percent. Employment gains in the region were strongest in trade, transportation and utilities; followed by leisure and hospitality; education and health services; professional and business services; natural resources, mining and construction; and other services.
