Catskill appoints Wilson as superintendent
Andrea Macko reports for Porcupine Soup that Dr. Dan Wilson has been interim superintendent of Catskill schools twice this year, and now takes over in a permanent role. The Catskill Central School District Board of Education voted July 5 appointed Wilson as superintendent with a multi-year contract effective July 1. The school did not release the details of the contract. Wilson commented on the board action, saying, “I am very excited to become Catskill’s superintendent because I have grown to know and love this district over the past two years I have been here." Wilson was appointed interim superintendent effective January 1 after the resignation of then-Interim Superintendent Thomas Bongiovi until February 12 when the BOE appointed Melissa Barrow as superintendent. But Barrow resigned on May 17 and again Wilson was made interim superintendent. Read more about this story in Porcupine Soup.
