During their residency at PS21, The NEXT Festival of Emerging Artists, a string orchestra of early career musicians and rising young guest composers, will hold free open rehearsals for enthusiasts, fellow artists, and casual listeners alike. These open rehearsals are free, open to all, and offer a first hand glimpse into the creative process at PS21, as well as a preview of the works in progress. The open rehearsals are in preparation for their June 2 performance at PS21’s pavilion theater, featuring World Premieres of string orchestra works by Leilehua Lanzilotti, Che Buford, Peter Askim, Matthew Evan Taylor, and guest artist and electric guitarist Yvette Young.
