Gibson addresses climate change

William J. Kemble in The Daily Freeman reports that Rep. Chris Gibson (R-Kinderhook) spoke Dec. 4 at a conservative energy forum “Waking Up to America’s Future,” for the Citizens for Responsible Energy Solutions, Concord 51, and the Conservation Leadership Council. Gibson promised to introduce climate change legislation that he hopes his fellow Republicans can agree upon as they take the majority in both chambers in 2015. “We have changing weather patterns, and we have climate change. This is the science,” the congressman said in the speech. “I hope that my party ... will come to be comfortable with this because we have to operate in the realm of knowledge and science, and I still think we can bring forward conservative solutions to this, absolutely, but we have to recognize the reality.” Read the full story in The Daily Freeman.
