Board of Supervisors approves C-GCC budget

Joe Gentile is reporting in The Daily Mail the Columbia County Board of Supervisors Wed., Aug. 13, approved the Columbia-Greene Community College 2014-15 budget. The $17.6 million spending plan would increases tuition by three percent. The plan requires increased contributions for both Columbia and Greene counties, as well. The members of the Greene County Legislature's County Resources Committee voted Aug. 6 in support of the proposal. A public hearing on the spending plan is scheduled for Aug. 20, before the appropriation is brought to a final vote by the full Legislature. Under the budget part-time tuition rates are projected to increase $5, to $170 per credit hour. Full-time students could see their tuition bills raised by $60 per semester.
