Do you want to learn how to produce original content for WGXC? Come to the Hands-on Radio production workshop at WGXC's Hudson Studio, 704 Columbia St. 2nd floor. Hudson, NY. In this workshop we will learn basic skills in
* writing for radio
* thinking about audience
* basic voice techniques
* how to record content (on recorders & in studio)
* uploading audio to the computer
* basic audio editing in the free/open source program Audacity
* adding a PSA to the server and computer so that it can be played on the air

This workshop will be a quick-paced hands-on experience, where all participants will collaborate in designing and producing a 30-second PSA that informs & invites listeners to add events to the WGXC event calendar. This is a learning opportunity, and the main goal is to learn the above skills, so join us in this wonderful free workshop facilitated by Cory Fischer-Hoffman and Mark LaCoy.

If you have your own PSA already scripted, please bring it along and we will have some time to record additional PSAs. Also, bring flyers of upcoming events!
