David Lombardo reports in the Albany Times Union that there won't be a League of Women Voters forum for the 107th Assembly District special election between Republican Jake Ashby and Democrat Cindy Doran. The League of Women Voters couldn't connect directly with Ashby, according to the group's president, Margaret Story, who said Doran agreed to participate. But Ashby says, "They never contacted me directly.... I'm not a hard guy to find either." The story says, "An internet search of Ashby and his occupation returns his company's website, which includes a phone number." The special election is April 24.
