Then, Greene County Legislature candidates discuss issues from 2-4 a.m. at a forum held at Catskill High School, Tues., Oct.23, sponsored by Leadership Greene, a representative body of Catskill students, and recorded and produced by the students and staff of Catskill High School. Muntadas and Marshall Reese chronicle presidential ads from 1956 to 2012. WGXC speaks with Muntadas at The Sanctuary for Independent Media in Troy, and play his collection of presidential ads over the years as is from 4-6 a.m. Then, the polls open at 6 a.m. with Philip Grant on the "WGXC Morning Show," until 8 a.m. when "Democracy Now!" airs. Philip Grant returns with more of the "WGXC Morning Show" from 9-11 a.m., followed by an hour of "Al Jazeera English." At 4 p.m., coverage returns with the "WGXC Afternoon Show" live from the Catskill Community Center. "Al Jazeera English" and "Free Speech Radio News" follow at 6 and 6:30 p.m., respectively. At 7 p.m., a "Democracy Now!" election special with hosts Amy Goodman and Juan Gonzalez airs, featuring on-the-ground reports from across the country, reactions from across the globe and running in-depth analysis and commentary from a wide range of guests. Coverage and commentary from Greene and Columbia counties will continue at 9 p.m. with a special edition of "Battlefield Earth," with host Dan Seward. Election programming, including related music, commentary, sounds and more, will follow through the night with Tom Roe, anchoring live from the Wave Farm Study Center in Acra.
