Dick May in the Seeing Greene blog reports that “Wild Land: Thomas Cole and the Birth of American Landscape Painting,” a traveling exhibit of works by the Catskill artist, opened Sept. 1 at the Brazos Valley Museum in Bryan, Texas. Sponsored by the National Endowment for the Humanities, the exhibit will travel the country for five years. May also reports that another exhibit of Cole's, with Asher B. Durand, opens at the Louvre in Paris on Jan. 13 with screenings of the film “Thomas Cole: Painting the American Landscape." Read the full story at Seeing Greene.
