Mar 13, 2020 4:15 pm
Abby Hoover is reporting for Columbia-Greene Media public school superintendents in Columbia County released a joint statement Fri., Mar. 13, providing an update on how districts will proceed in the coming weeks during the ongoing pandemic. Presumably, the statement was offered on behalf of the Chatham, Germantown, Hudson, Ichabod Crane, New Lebanon and Taconic Hills school districts. Beginning March 16, all non-district events will be suspended until March 31. This includes any large gathering held indoors after school hours, any non-district-sponsored events, meetings, programs and district-sponsored indoor performing arts events. Section II athletic scrimmages are suspended through April 19, but practices can continue during this time. All district-sponsored events, including Questar programs and more, will occur as scheduled. The districts are also postponing or canceling all student field trips or travel of any kind outside of school district boundaries. Read the full story at HudsonValley360 [dot] com.
