Bill Williams reports in Columbia-Greene Media that New York State Police and Hudson Police arrested 11 Columbia County residents Aug. 6 in a sweep of what they call "gang activity." Five people were charged with second-degree attempted murder for gun fire in Hudson April 29 and July 30. Police say the arrestees are part of the "Men of Business" gang. Kristin Lowman, a spokesperson for the state police, said more arrests are expected, and that the Columbia County District Attorney's office and the Albany Police Department assisted with the investigation.
