This month Morrad+McArthur return with their collaged sonic madness interspersed with aberrant slabs of telematic improv, static and drone recorded over recent weeks. Ian is back in Australia armed with months of field recording gathered on the streets of Chongqing. Annie’s in London - “making mischief”… Dubbed “Like Yesterday”, this post jazz soundscape retains some of the Chinese thematics we’ve been exploring of late and is introduced with contributions from Beijing-based sound artist Xie Wenting. It’s an intense and at times creaking assemblage - an appropriate soundtrack to these unsettling times.
