Radio Roundup

May 30, 2015 12:02 am
WGXC continues to search for new local hosts to volunteer on the radio, hosting or working together on public affairs programming about the local community. WGXC also needs youth programmers for the Mon-Sat 3:30-4 p.m. time slot, and music programmers at various times. Email info@wgxc.org, or see information at wgxc.org.
Some programming changes:
• "What's the Frequency, Kenneth?" stopped making new shows, so instead Pacifica Radio's "From the Archives" airs Fridays at 2 p.m
• "Amateur Radio Newsline" is temporarily off the air, so in its place at 8 a.m. Saturdays, the "ARRL Audio News" and "The RAIN Report" are on.
• "The Qpid Rox Show" hosted by Quiana Lee debuted May 29 and runs Fridays 9:30 to midnight. "The show is a blend of smooth R&B, soul and jazz music with some talk about love, relationships and topics of current interest mixed in. It will feature occasional guests and co-hosts, and trivia games about love, music and movies. Plus some tracks on lighter side of romance, and conversation about how relationships have changed over the years. Call-ins are encouraged and welcomed."
