MidHudsonNews [dot] com is reporting Ulster County Executive Michael Hein will become acting commissioner of the state Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance effective Feb. 11. Hein was nominated a month ago by Governor Andrew M. Cuomo, subject to confirmation by the state Senate. Until approved by the state Senate, Cuomo named Hein in an active capacity. Hein's departure means Ulster County Chief of Staff Adele Reiter will take over as acting county executive. “I am confident that she and our team of dedicated public servants will continue to work day in and day out to serve the people of Ulster County with great distinction,” said Hein.
