Schoharie's Tague up for Lopez seat

Joe Mahoney in the Niagara Gazette reports that Pete Lopez leaving for the Environmental Protection Agency, "is expected to touch off a scramble for his Assembly seat." So far Chris Tague, the Schoharie town supervisor and the Schoharie County Republican chairperson, says he is “strongly interested” in running for Lopez's seat. No other names have emerged yet with announced intentions to run if Gov. Andrew Cuomo calls a special election, or in the 2018 general election.
