An interview with arranger, composer and saxophonist Patrick Brennan who’ll be presenting “ReMonkability” at Quinn’s in Beacon, NY on Monday, October 10 in celebration of pianist Thelonious Monk’s 99th birth date. ReMonkability is Patrick Brennan’s compositional and improvisational dialogue with the world of Thelonious Monk’s music. He thinks of his arrangements (which sometimes extend far enough to be thought of as ReCompositions) as "a way of hearing Monk through ideas the music suggests." Hosted by Cheryl K.
