Poll: Voters divided on casino development

Matthew Hamilton is reporting at Capitol Confidential a Time Warner Cable News/Siena College poll out Mon., July 28, shows that Capital Region voters are close to a split when it comes to casino development in the region, a virtual mirror image of the vote last fall on proposal 1 to allow casino license expansion. The poll shows that 49 percent are in favor of casino development in the region, while 40 percent are opposed. Capital Region voters support development in the Catskills and Hudson Valley, but are split on development in the Southern Tier and Finger Lakes.
