Hudson releases RFP for truck route study

The city of Hudson Tue., June 23, announced it is seeking proposals from qualified firms to perform a destination and origin study of the state-designated truck route that cuts through the city. The high-volume route that crosses through the city's high density neighborhoods, "deleteriously influences the community’s quality of life and economic vitality," according to a statement posted at the city website. The purpose of the study is to collect data and then propose alternative routes. The intention is then for the city to work with neighboring towns, Columbia County officials as well as the state to develop a plan to modify and improve the route.
