Multi-channel, sound-processed short-wave radio. A study for what will become a multi-channel audio installation using multiple radio news broadcasts overlaid in in the manner influenced by the psychoacoustic illusion "Phantom Words" created by Diana Deutsch (http://deutsch.ucsd.edu/psychology/pages.php?i=211) and musically relating to the artist's prior multi-channel granular synthesis project "Audio Chandelier" http://audiochandelier.com. Naphtali created this first study using her software programming for live performance setup with Max/MSP on recorded sound files from January 30, 2017 including a lot of chatter about the current immigration crisis in the US.
