Pro-Common Core group urges 'opt in'

Jessica Bakeman is reporting at Capital New York High Achievement New York will launch a six-figure radio and digital advertising campaign Wed., Apr. 15, encouraging parents to “opt in” their children to state exams. Achievement New York is a pro-Common Core coalition that includes business groups. The campaign aims to combat the growing movement of children refusing state tests. Tens of thousands of parents are believed to have boycotted the tests that began Tuesday. Achievement New York's radio spots in English and Spanish will run in New York City and its suburbs.
