Faso follows Trump; Gillibrand does not; and Schumer splits his votes
Feb 10, 2017 9:44 pm
Fivethirtyeight.com reports that Rep. John Faso (R-Kinderhook) has sided with Donald Trump positions on 11 out of 12 votes so far in Congress. The lone dissenting vote came on a bill that will eliminate a rule requiring energy companies to reduce waste and emissions. In the Senate, New York's Chuck Schumer and Kirsten Gillibrand have much different voting records this year. Gillibrand has voted against Trump nominees more than any other senator, only approving Nicki Haley for United Nations ambassador. Schumer has approved four Trump nominees, and voted against five.
