Tropical Storm Nate, which is expected to become a hurricane in the Gulf of Mexico in the next few days, may impact New York State. Current forecasts from the National Weather Service have it dropping almost two inches of rain over the WGXC listening area beginning Tue., Oct. 10. The storm, which could land as a hurricane near New Orleans, would lose much power over land before it arrives in New York, if forecast models hold.
