Mid-Hudson News reports that the Federal Emergency Management Agency and the Federal Communications Commission are conducting a nationwide test of the Emergency Alert System at 2:20 p.m. on Wednesday, October 4. Cell phones should receive wireless emergency alerts in either English or Spanish, and radios and television programs will be interupted by the Emergency Alert System.
