Power Authority selling land near Prattsville

Brian Nearing reports in The Albany Times Union that the New York Power Authority is selling 117 acres of forest land near the Schoharie Reservoir to New York City. The land is near Prattsville and contains several tributaries of the Schoharie Creek, which feeds the city-owned reservoir. An additional reservoir was once planned for the area, but the project was canceled in the 1980s. The authority ruled last week that the proposed sale would not have any significant environmental impact. Read the full story in The Albany Times Union.
