The National Weather Service issued a Special Weather Statement at 6:21 a.m. warning that a line of showers with downpours and strong winds will move through Greene, Ulster, Columbia and Rensselaer counties this morning. The line of showers is capable of producing winds around 50 to 60 mph and heavy rain. The front is moving east at a speed of 30 mph. A High Wind Warning remains in effect for the entire area.
