Greene Co. announces revised operations schedule for its transfer stations

Greene County Solid Waste Management has announced that due to the increase in COVID-19 cases in the region, officials have made the decision to temporarily close three of its four transfer stations an additional day each week. "This decision was made out of an abundance of caution to ensure the health and safety of its staff," according to the statement posted at greenegovernment [dot] com.
Effective Mon., Dec. 7,
• the Catskill Transfer Station will be closed Sunday and Wednesday;
• the Coxsackie Transfer Station will be closed Sunday and Monday;
• the Hunter Transfer Station will be closed Tuesday and Wednesday; and,
• the Windham Transfer Station will be closed Wednesday and Thursday.
The new schedule will remain in effect until further note. Residents with questions are encouraged to call 518-943-4600 or email solidwaste [at] discovergreene [dot] com.
