Patricia Doxsey is reporting for the Daily Freeman former town of Woodstock Supervisor Jeff Moran April 11, dropped his bid to be Ulster County executive after he failed to secure the needed number of signatures to force a Democratic primary. Moran said he had fewer than 500 signatures by the April 4 filing deadline, and he needed a minimum of 750 valid signatures to qualify as a candidate. Moran served as Woodstock supervisor from 2008 through 2011.
