Greenville considers four solar farms
Jan 27, 2018 12:10 am
Audrey Matott in The Greenville Pioneer reports that the Greenville Planning Board is considering the impact on the community of possibly adding four solar farm projects from Cypress Creek Renewables. The company wants to create Freehold Solar, Amberjack Solar, Red Mill Solar, and Ingalside Solar in the town. Greenville consulting engineer Alan Tavenner of Delaware Engineering said at the Jan. 3 planning board meeting that, “It is hard to say that you’re not changing the character when you’re putting them in that densely.” Greenville town attorney Tal Rappleyea suggested the company provide a map of where the solar projects are in relation to where residencies are located. That will be discussed more at the next Planning Board meeting at 7 p.m., Feb. 7 at Pioneer Town Hall, 11159 State Route 32 in Greenville. Read the full story in The Greenville Pioneer.
