Ahead of her appearance at Emerson Hall at the First Universalist Unitarian Society of Albany Sun., Apr. 22, Benjamin will phone in to the "WGXC Afternoon Show" to discuss her new book, "Drone Warfare." Benjamin, is founder of the Code Pink activist group and her new book has been called a “comprehensive look at the growing menace of robotic warfare.” The book analyzes and details the production of remote, radio-controlled drones, their use, piloting, and human cost associated, placing these in both a legal and moral framework. Samir Alygad and Christina Malisoff will talk with Benjamin in the 4 p.m. hour on the "WGXC Afternoon Show." The show will also feature local news, Jack Ross-Pilkington with "This Day in History" and other features. Like, "Media Minutes" from Free Press: "Should political ads clutter the airwaves on NPR and PBS? The Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals thinks so. It struck down a ban on political advertising on public TV and radio stations. And the largest fiber optic broadband network in North America was unveiled last week in south central North Dakota."
