Bryan Rowzee in The Ravena News-Herald very briefly updates the modernization process at the Lafarge cement plant in Ravena. At the October 15 Town Council meeting Mike Kralik, manager of the plant, said he expects the modernization project to be complete by July 1, 2016. Rowzee's only other reporting is that according to plant estimates, the upgrades should increase capacity by 57 percent and decrease energy needs by 49 percent, with a reduction of emissions of an unknown quantity.
