Cuomo signs more gun control laws
Aug 01, 2019 12:47 am
Bernadette Hogan reports in the New York Post that, for a third day, Gov. Andrew Cuomo signed a set of gun control bills. On July 31, he signed bills stopping state teachers from bringing guns to schools, and another streamlining the state’s gun buyback program. The first bill bans any school employee “who is not primarily employed as a school resource officer, law enforcement officer or security guard” from carrying a gun on school grounds. The second law allows any and all “illegal, unsecured, abandoned or unwanted” guns to be given to the State Police in “buyback” programs. Read more about this story in the New York Post.
