New EMS plan complete; headed to committee

Michael Ryan is reporting in The Daily Mail the proposed plan for a unified ambulance system covering all 14 towns and five villages in Greene County will be unveiled at the county Legislature Health Committee meeting tonight, Wed., Mar. 4. Pending the committee's recommendation, the proposal would move on to the full Legislature for approval, followed by every constituent town within Greene County. The initiative could fail overall if it is rejected by a minimum of five or six towns. The plan is projected to cost $6 million. The new countywide system would be administered by a not-for-profit entity and be coordinated through the county’s emergency call center. Read the full story in The Daily Mail.
