Apr 08, 2019 1:15 pm
Bill Williams is reporting for WCTW-FM, "The Cat," the New York State Department of Transportation April 8, announced construction is underway to rehabilitate the Route 66 bridge over Kline Kill Creek in the town of Ghent. The $1.4-million project will include replacement of the bridge deck and approach slabs, bearings and bridge rails, with minor steel and substructure repairs, to modernize the structure. Route 66 will be closed while the bridge deck is replaced, and a four-mile detour along County Route 9 and State Route 203 will be in place from late June through August. The state says the bridge will reopen to traffic before the Columbia County Fair begins on August 28. Read the full press release at 985TheCat [dot] iheart [dot] com.
