Peak leaf color this weekend

New York's foliage report suggests local lookers will see peak color this weekend. The state's leaf-looking website said, "In the Catskills, reports from the higher elevations of Greene County predict that peak foliage will hang on through the weekend, with leaves showcasing very brilliant shades of red, yellow, and purple. Peak foliage in Catskill should also hold on with 95% change and brilliant red, yellow, and orange leaves.... Rensselaer County spotters in Rensselaer and Troy project near-peak conditions and 80% change with a full spectrum of fall color, including brilliant orange, bright yellow, and gorgeous orange-red leaves.... Albany County spotters reporting from Altamont along the Helderberg Escarpment predict 90% color change this weekend with very bright red, yellow and orange leaves. Nearby Thacher State Park in Voorheesville should see up to 70% leaf change with red, yellow, and orange leaves. Spotters in Cohoes at Cohoes Falls predict more than 50% color change with gold, yellow, and orange leaves."
