Schreibman client-donor subject of GOP ad

The National Republican Campaign Committee has released its latest ad in the 19th Congressional District race, Casey Seiler writes at Capitol Confidential. The ad targets Democratic challenger Julian Schreibman for his past representation of Mark Holtzanger, an accountant whose New Jersey firm was charged with misuse of clients' funds. Holtzanger was a primary-season donor to Schreibman's campaign. A judge ultimately determined the state failed to make its case and the accountant went free. The ad uses footage of Bernie Madoff, whose crimes outweighed those of Schreibman's client by millions. Schreibman has touted his experience as a federal prosecutor in his own ads.
