The thermometer will only get above freezing for a short time Sunday afternoon this weekend, and two of the three local ski resorts opened in time for the chill. Windham Mountain has man-made snow on nine trails and 53 acres serviced by 5 lifts, and a mini jib park with 2 rails and 2 boxes is in the base area open. At Hunter Mountain there are 16 trails open. There is an "anticipated" Dec. 7 opening at Catamount Ski in Hillsdale.
