Larry Rulison reports in the Albany Times Union that National Grid wants to put an electrical substation on Van Dyke Road near ‎Bethlehem High School and Eagle Elementary. They will make a presentation at 6 p.m. Feb. 7 before the town's zoning board of appeals at town hall. Opposition from community groups and parents worried about electromagnetic fields and other issues blocked a similar proposal in 2015. National Grid says it needs more power for the now-empty Vista Technology Campus in Slingerlands.
