In the latest Hudson Valley Word of Mouth segment, Julia Joern visits Five & Diamond Vintage, owned by Lisa Durfee and located on the corner of 5th Street and Columbia Street in Hudson. Since 2003, her shop has specialized in vintage clothing from the 1920s to the 1980s and offers everything from classy cocktail dresses to custom-made lace gloves and retro cowboy boots, plus so much more. An avid and experienced collector with an eye toward unusual patterns and rich colors, Durfee also fosters her creativity by restoring and decorating antique doll houses using found materials and textiles, as well as wallpaper often discarded from historic houses and buildings around the area. She shares her love for old things — and her on-going doll house renovations — on her Instagram account, which also showcases her ever-changing one-of-a-kind storefront window displays.

The Catskill Makers Syndicate produce the "Better Weather" for the show. Rob Gelles produces the Columbia County history segment "Rob Around The County" and "This Month in History" for the show. Julia Joern produces the "Hudson Valley Word of Mouth" interview segment every Thursday. And Jack Sencabaugh contributes the "Backtracks in Time" segment about local history. Some reports come from our partner station, WOOC-LP in Troy, out of The Sanctuary for Independent Media. Tom Roe also cuts up local and national news with songs and sounds for the show.
